Accounting graduates pursue a variety of paths after graduation. Most seek careers in public accounting (including auditing, tax preparation, and business consulting) and private accounting (including financial accounting, management accounting, and internal auditing). Some continue their education and earn a Master of Science in Accounting or a Master of Business Administration with (or without) a concentration in Accounting. Others attend law school.
The BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems provides students with the knowledge to effectively develop and manage information systems that create a competitive advantage in the global marketplace. Upon graduation, students can help organizations solve complex IT issues such as redesigning IT processes, conducting system analysis and design, and managing and designing database systems, among others.
Students interested in banking, finance, and other related fields may want to concentrate in Financial Analysis while earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Within the classroom, students learn from professors with years in the financial field and experience hands-on practices to prepare them for their future career.
